This document outlines the use of Tracking Tools (including Cookies) on the Old World Federation (OWF) website (oldworldfederation.com) and PLAY Portal (play.oldworldfederation.com). The tools used by the Data Controller (OWF) are strictly necessary for the basic function and provision of the Service.
This Application utilizes only Required/Technical Cookies and similar tools. These are essential for core functions such as ensuring security, enabling user login sessions, and maintaining site configuration.
Security Verification (Google reCAPTCHA): This application integrates Google reCAPTCHA to protect against spam and automated abuse. This service involves the transmission of data (e.g., IP address, user behavior) to Google for analysis, which is necessary for the security of our service.
Web Typography (Google Fonts): To ensure consistent and visually appealing presentation, this application retrieves web fonts provided by Google. This integration allows your browser to download the required fonts to display text correctly, which may involve your browser establishing a direct connection to Google servers and transmitting basic technical details (such as your IP address).
No Consent Required: As these tools are strictly necessary for the operation of the Service, their use does not require explicit user consent.
Third Parties: Tracking Tools, including Google reCAPTCHA, may include those managed by the Owner (First-Party) or by Third-Party providers. Third-party usage is governed by their respective privacy policies.
Users can manage or delete cookies at any time using their browser settings (e.g., Chrome, Firefox, Safari). However, blocking necessary technical cookies may prevent the Application from functioning correctly.
To use the Old World Federation (OWF) PLAY platform and access the competitive circuit and profile features, we collect the following data during registration:
Identification: Full Name (Name and Surname) and Nickname.
Contact & Security: Email address and a self-chosen, encrypted password.
Ranking Information: Country of belonging.
The primary personal data collected directly by the Old World Federation is stored and hosted on secure servers located within the European Union (EU).
Visibility: By default, your data is visible only to other registered OWF Ranking users. You can choose to display only your Nickname instead of your Full Name through the settings in the play.oldworldfederation.com portal.
Administrative Use: Your Full Name and Country are necessary for the administrative functioning of the OWF competitive circuit (e.g., tournament verification and national ranking).
Security: Your password and email are never shown to other users or third parties. We will never ask you for your password.
External Sharing (Old World Rankings): You can choose to send your data to the Old World Rankings (OWR) result aggregator. This transfer requires your active consent through a dedicated opt-in procedure. Once enabled, you can manage, opt-out, or opt-in again at any time through the user settings inside the play.oldworldfederation.com portal, applying your own defined policy for your personal information. Please note that the data residency for the OWR aggregator is located outside the European Union (EU).
You can request account deletion (including your Ranking profile) directly via the settings in the play.oldworldfederation.com portal. Deletion is permanent.
