The Old World Federation was created to support Warhammer: The Old World play globally. It is non-profit and run by passionate enthusiasts. Through the Old World community, you can meet people who share your hobby across the world, participate in, and organize Old World tournaments easily and with a unified standard internationally. The web application, the Play Portal, provides various free services, including:
Creation and management of Gaming Clubs.
Software for tournament management and organization.
Organization of tournament data into different Rankings
Analysis of collected data presented on the statistics page.
The Ranking system uses four metrics to represent player skill and experience:
SuperScore: Based on placements and participation in OWF tournaments (like ATP).
ELO Ranking: Dynamically estimates performance, adjusting score after each game based on expected vs. actual win/loss rate against opponents.
PaintScore: Rewards players with fully painted armies and for winning "Best Painted Army."
ClubScore: The sum of the SuperScores of a club's top 5 players.
Registration with OWF is completely free.
Go to the "Play" area on the portal.
Click the Register link and follow the steps.
Once registered, a user can:
Participate in tournaments
View tournament results
Access their profile with personal statistics
View the leaderboards and players armylists
Becoming a Tournament organizer with OWF is simple
To request organizer status, you must be registered in the PLAY portal and logged in:
Select the menu with your avatar and click Become an Organizer
Fill out the application form with your details
Wait for the Federation staff to approve your request
Once approved, an organizer can:
Create tournaments
Use the system for tournament management
Access all OWF resources to streamline tournament organization
Confront and synchronize with other Tournament Organizers in your nation
To create your club's page, you must be logged into the Play portal.
Visit the "Clubs and Organizers" section.
Click "Create your Club".
Fill out the form.
Send your club logo to the designated email address (play@oldworldfederation.com).
Wait for approval.
